Spring is such a wonderful time of the year! All of the flowering shrubs are budding out and the trees are beginning to show signs of new green growth. It’s a time of renewal. It’s also a time for pollen and mega rain storms. We have had our share for the first part of March and the old March saying could never be more true, March sure did come in like a Lion.
This past week was relatively quiet, but all of the rain and storms from last weekend sure have dumped a lot of rain. All of the rivers are overflowing their banks and a lot of folks are left without a place to stay because of the high waters. In most places, it is expected this time of the year but there are places with high water that normally do not see it, even in the rainy season. I will count my blessings that Kent and I do not live in an area that is prone to flooding at any time of the year and I will pray for those that do.
With Spring coming early and Easter being next weekend, lots of my trees and bushes are actually flowering early this year. Most of the Azalea’s are in full bloom right now and that does not normally happen until April. So….you know that I have been busy with my camera on the days that I could actually get out and take photos. Also, with the time having changed because of daylight savings time, it is lighter when I get home in the evenings, so I am able to take a few pictures before the sun goes down.
Where ever you are, are hope that you are finding a way to enjoy the Springtime. Get out in the fresh air, take a walk, go for a drive, or visit a nearby park to check out the nature and wildlife. Whatever you do….don’t forget your camera!
