There’s No Place Like Home!!

I love going on vacation!  There is noting better than taking a week off from work, packing up the car, loading up the Grand Children and heading out for the mountains!  What a wonderful time of the year to just get out, see nature and just spend quality time with the ones that you love!

Several years ago, Kent and I took Alana And Taylor to a place just outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee and rode a passenger train trough the mountains.  They both wanted to go back to Tennessee, so this year we took them to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.  We went to Dollywood, Parrot Mountain, Gatlinburg, Cades Cove, Clingmans Dome and drove over to Cherokee, North Carolina on the other side of the mountain.  Along the way, we saw Black Bears, Elk, and a few horses and a doe and buck.  We stepped stones in a mountain creek and saw several beautiful waterfalls.  We also climbed to the highest point of the Mountain at 6300 feet elevation.  I can’t remember the last time I have done so much walking and climbing.  Now when I say climbing, I mean real mountain climbing!

I was so happy to get in the truck and head home.  I was even more happy to actually get home!  We had a wonderful time!  Saw things that we may never have the chance to see again and I would not trade the time we spent there for anything…but….there truely is no place like home!

Here are a few layouts that I created and I will be adding more!
